The arable crops are rotated on a regular basis, and these crops include wheat, barley, oil seed rape (canola), peas, beans, oats and mustard. All of these crops are established using minimum tillage and non-inversion techniques, which is more environmentally friendly. The plough is only used as a last resort, and we consider that we have “failedin our preparation if we have to use it. The farm is a member of ACCS assurance scheme.

We offer a farm contracting service in the West Somerset Area, and as this service is added onto our farm business, we can offer exceptional rates. Please contact us on 01823 432615.

The beef herd comprises of Simmental X British Friesian suckler cows, which are covered by Charollais bulls. The progeny are either sold as stores or taken on to a finished beef carcass. The herd is run on an extensive system, which ensures high standards of welfare for the cattle and as a result, good quality beef animals.
